Conservatives give up already!

December 23, 2009

The General Election is still months away, but it looks like the Conservatives in Wythenshawe & Sale East have given up hope of victory already.

There failure to select a LOCAL candidate just goes to show that they really don’t care about the residents in the constituency. They are quite happy to allow a Conservative from the Crewe & Nantwich area, who first applied for other seats to fight in, but lost, to ‘make up the numbers’.

What is clear is that the Tories will not be launching a big campaign, for them Wythenshawe is a lost cause, and they would much put there effort into other seats to fight in.

Wythenshawe needs a LOCAL activist who will represent the constituents and deal with the problems in the area, not a career politician.

Chris.

We have a very short time to get organised but i’m confident with the hard work and support of the members that we will achieve a great result in both local & national elections”

A message to Conservative voters in Wythenshawe & Sale East

November 6, 2009

Now that David Cameron has make his ‘U’- turn on a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty, it is perfectly clear that the Conservative Party leadership is no longer interested in the freedom of the British people.

In the next General Election only one political party & candidate in the Wythenshawe & Sale East constituency are committed to the withdrawal of the UK from the European Union, restoring British democracy and bringing about the common sense change that this country needs.

That party is the UK Independence Party, the candidate is Chris Cassidy.

Conservative voters, please support Chris Cassidy to become the next MP for Wythenshawe & Sale East by giving him your vote in the Local and General Elections.

UKIP; The REAL Opposition.

Chris Slams Council for Failing Residents

November 4, 2009

Local UKIP candidate Chris Cassidy has slammed the council for granting an alcohol licence to the Nisa Store along Sale Road.

‘Despite many objections from local residents, business owners, myself and even the Police, the application to grant an Alcohol licence to the Nisa store in Sale Circle, along Sale Road was granted by Manchester City Council in a meeting on 20th October.

It’s clear that the Council and local Councillors don’t want to listen to the residents & business owners of Northern Moor who sent in numerous petitions and letters against the plans.

Maybe this latest example of council failures will make the people of Northern Moor open there eyes to just how undemocratic the Council is, and look to elect Councillors who are there for the local residents who elected them, not political gain’

Chris, the UKIP PPC for Wythenshawe & Sale East, is already looking into the grounds for granting the application and will post an update on the site soon.

Chris Opposes Liquor Licence Plans

October 14, 2009

Local UKIP candidate Chris Cassidy has joined residents & businesses around Sale Circle and the Northern Moor area in opposing a licensing application from the Nisa Local store, located on Sale Road.

Chris, the Wythenshawe & Sale East candidate, stated in an e-mail  to Manchester City Council that several off-licences are already operating within Sale Circle with a local pub just 100 metres away.  Already underage & binge drinking are an issue within the local area and adding another off-licence premises will only make matters worse.

Chris went on to say that ‘ given recent media attacks on Northern Moor and it’s residents during the ‘Duchess on the estate’ programme, there should be no justification from the council to allow the liquor licence application, which will create more problems in the area, common sense should prevail.’

There have been serveral local petitions signed by local residents and businesses around the area handed in to the council.

A hearing which will announce the results of the application is  taking place at the Town Hall on the 20th October, in committee room 9 at 10AM.
Public are welcome to attend.
